I love documentaries. I love how they can communicate and inform facts and opinion, but also tell stories much more emotional and personal than any fictional drama ever could.
One of the first documentaries that affected me so vividly was Bill Cunningham New York, a film about a man who is a legend in the fashion world and a veteran in street style photography. This film effortlessly shows how one old man in a blue coat and his rusty bike can enthrall audiences with his history and character, and what a character he was.
It’s these stories that interest me and excite me.
So therefore, next week I will be reviewing a documentary film every day, ranging from old classics to new upcoming talents.
See you soon.
